Bob, a cute little pup with small ears and deep black eyes, was in a dire situation where he was about to lose his life. He appeared hopeless, lying still in a corner with his tangled fur caught between wires, abandoned and forgotten by everyone. However, his barking proved to be a lifesaver for him.
Thanks to Proyecto 4 Patas, a non-profit animal welfare organization, the news about Bob’s situation reached them, and they immediately sprang into action to rescue the poor little guy. The puppy was not only blind and starving for food but also desperate for love and affection.
Bob was once a sad and frightened animal, much like the other creatures huddled in the corners. But with the arrival of volunteers, his face lit up with happiness that hadn’t been seen in some time. His rescuers wrapped him in cloth to ease his pain from the multiple cuts on his body, especially around the waist and legs. After lifting him off the ground, they transported him to a pet shelter where he received a thorough examination to rule out any other injuries. He had some small cuts on his back caused by the wire fence he was found on. The rescuers took great care to release him slowly without causing further harm. Bob had branches and wires tangled in his fur, making it difficult for him to stand or walk. However, he eventually ate a little, drank water, and rested after a long time. According to Germán, the rescuer, it was evident that he hadn’t eaten or rested for a while.
While being examined, the medical professionals uncovered the man’s blindness caused by cataracts that were quite advanced. In addition, due to multiple fractures, he was unable to walk. The association responsible for his rescue showcased an amazing transformation of the dog’s dreadlocks being removed to create a new appearance. Despite the traumatic experience, the man is slowly but surely recovering thanks to the efforts of those who rescued him.
After undergoing months of physical therapy and an ophthalmological operation, Bob has finally started to walk again. His newfound mobility is not the only improvement in his life, as he has also gained weight and appears more lively than ever before. However, the most remarkable change in Bob is his restored trust in humans, all thanks to the kindness of a woman named Nicole who fell in love with him via social media and adopted him.
