Chiming in: The siren shared her thoughts while striking a pose for the latest edition of Allure magazine.
The actress from the popular show Friends hopped on Instagram as a part of a big marketing push, but things didn’t go as planned. Despite her initial intentions to use the platform to promote her line, the pandemic threw a wrench in her plans and now she’s feeling a bit trapped on Instagram. In an interview with Allure magazine, she confessed, “It’s really tough for me. I only joined Instagram to debut my product line, but then everything got put on hold due to the pandemic. So now I’m just sort of stuck here. It’s not something that comes naturally to me.” Interestingly, Jennifer is actually grateful that she didn’t grow up with social media, unlike many people today.
According to an interview with Allure magazine, the actress revealed that using Instagram felt like torture for her. She originally joined the platform to launch a new product line, but the pandemic delayed their plans. As a result, she found herself stuck on Instagram, which didn’t feel natural to her. She emphasized that social media puts a lot of pressure on young girls today. She expressed gratitude for having grown up without the constant presence of social media, stating that it can negatively impact how young girls perceive themselves and lead to unhealthy comparison.
However, she manages to promote The Morning Show on Instagram successfully. Despite this, Jennifer Aniston believes that she has evolved and become more mature as a result of the challenges she has faced. The Hollywood icon, who was previously married to actors Brad Pitt and Justin Theroux, expressed, “I believe that in my late 30s and 40s, I went through some really tough times, and without experiencing those hardships, I wouldn’t have grown into the person I am today.” She added, “I am grateful for all those difficult experiences because without them, I would have remained trapped in fear, insecurity, and uncertainty about myself. But now, I simply don’t care anymore.”
Aw, that’s adorable! She also takes the opportunity to post pictures of her beloved four-legged companions on the platform.
