Dua Lipa shared some fun moments with her summer crew on Instagram. The 26-year-old singer, known for hits like “Levitating”, posted photos of herself and four friends, including her sister Rina Lipa, donning colorful bikinis. Dua even wore matching orange sunglasses to complete her look. In the caption, the three-time Grammy awardee called them “Sunbums”. Although she’s in the middle of her Future Nostalgia world tour, which was rescheduled due to the pandemic, Dua took a break to unwind with her pals. Her most recent performance was in Budapest last August 10, and she’ll be continuing the tour this September.
When Lipa isn’t taking it easy or gracing the stage, she puts in her time for a noble cause. Recently, she revealed on Instagram that she’s lending her support to a music-based charity.
The @sunnyhillfoundation and @musikmakarna, a songwriters academy from Sweden, have collaborated to launch a fresh initiative for young, gifted songwriters in Kosovo. In her post with images of herself with the participating students, she expressed her amazement at their remarkable talent and productivity in just a few days of the program’s commencement. She went to the studio to view their progress and felt extremely motivated and inspired. She is eager to continue working together to cultivate this program into something incredibly special.
During an NPR interview in April, Lipa shared her experience of conquering self-doubt in her profession by dedicating herself to her music.
At one point in her life, the author was content and fulfilled with everything she was doing. However, she encountered people who made her doubt her abilities as a musician. Despite this, she eventually came to the realization that what others say about her does not determine her worth. This lesson was learned during the period when she was writing her album Future Nostalgia. She was able to ignore negative comments and criticisms and focus on her passion for music. Now, she is confident that no one can take away her talent and hard work as long as she writes from the heart. To prioritize her mental health and well-being, she decided to distance herself from Twitter, which has been beneficial to her personal growth and success.
